Laura Diaz-Luciano

About Me

I am and past special education teacher, college professor, state-wide autism consultant, clinical and home-based ABA director, and national conference presenter.  Even more proudly, I am a wife and mother of three wonderful children and a fur baby.

My Background

My bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in children’s literature and sign language laid my foundation for the rest of my professional career!  I began teaching elementary special education and pursued my Master’s in special education and coursework and certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  I then transitioned to a state-wide autism and inclusive practices consultant.  Realizing the importance of early diagnosis and intervention coupled with the vitality of parent training, I transitioned to directing a young learner ABA clinic and then began my own home-care ABA business.

In 2021 I got married and moved back to Pennsylvania and started private consulting for families with children with autism and other disabilities.  My goal is to relieve family stress, reduce problem behaviors, and teach skills to you and your child that will help each day go a little smoother and plan towards the brightest future possible across the integrated and interwoven settings of home, school, and community.

My Inspiration

My family is my daily inspiration.  I have a loving and supportive husband, Jay and three children.  Ty is 10 and loves and excels at all things artistic and creative.  He spends most of his free time dancing, and singing, and doing local drama productions. Kalen is 16 and a musician extraordinaire.  He sing, plays the piano, clarinet, saxophone, and marimba.  Our oldest Elida, is 20 and enjoys pageants and learning to do everything independently.  Her daddy and I have a cute story of a reconnection 12 years after I had Elida as a student (she has ID, autism, and other medical conditions).  The blessing of adding a bonus daughter with special needs has empowered me even more to pursue my lifelong passion to help moms and dads learn what they need to know as early as possible to benefit from everything out there to help lighten their loads!
